Basic Qualifications

  • New York State Licensed Guide

  • A genuine passion for the outdoors, conservation, commitment to Leave No Trace ethics and environmental stewardship.

  • Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to remain calm and composed in diverse situations.

  • Excellent wilderness navigation skills, including map reading and GPS use.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and work collaboratively with team members.

  • Ability to work irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on current season and client demand.

  • Physical fitness and stamina to endure long hours in outdoor environments and rugged terrain.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Certification in Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder preferred.
